I am just posting an update from Mar 2000, the trail just gets tougher and tougher, however I must say that through this great media of the internet, it is comforting to know that people do respond to you. In addition I have formed a club in yahoo.com (Spouses with Alzheimers.) which has made a difference in dealing with the day to day issues I encounter. We meet the 1st Wed of each month, the club was formed in Feb 2000. Our meetings focus on the issues we deal with on a day to day basis as spouses. If anyone is interested check it out. I can tell you from experience that the pain does not go away but talking with people in the same situation makes a difference. Thanks again for the responses to my original message.

Hello Eddie,

Thanks so much for your follow up...If you get back to these boards, please give us the link so that it will be easier for others to get to should they wish to join in the discussion.. I would imagine that the pain doesn't go away..perhaps it is even lessened. There is something truly special about the bonds and connections that form when caregivers share with each other.

Richest blessings.

Hi Eddie,

Sorry I have not been here in a while. It is good to hear that you have started a club on yahoo.com.

Yes, it is very rewarding to speak to those in the same boat and get feedback from them. That is also what these message boards are all about....lifting up one another and sharing techniques with others.

Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

Love and Peace
Joan
