You don't indicate where you're from, but one place to start looking for an appropriate support group would be to contact the social services department at your local hospital or health center. Medical social workers are usually well-informed about the services available within their communities. If your community has a mental health center, that is also a good source of information. Watch your local newspaper, too. Many support groups list their meeting times and locations in the "calendar" section of the paper. Depending on the size of your community, you might also try the YWCA or your local council on aging.
If you can't find any of these agencies on your own, contact your state's division or department of human services. They may be able to direct you to a local agency that can assist you.
Good luck!
