Well, you never know when you will find some suportive words

Watching the "Sopranos" (TV show), Tony is sitting in his shrink's office complaining about his sister with whom he has a love hate relationship, and also complaining about his BIL who he thinks is a fool. The BIL was the mob appointed caregiver for Tony's "Uncle Junior". Tony appointed him because he dislikes him so much and thought the job was demeaning.

He mentions that he found great satisfaction thinking that his BIL would have to change the diapers on "Uncle Junior" who had developed dementia.

The shrink said (paraphrasing, can't remember exactly), why would you find satisfaction in such a thing? Doing things like that are gifts. I believe she was meaning they were gifts of love to a disabled person.

So wise words from an unexpected source.
