help. this is my first time dealing with the death of a client. I have had extensive education in the hows and the what to do's, what I am looking for is the courage to get through this. I will be alone with the client when this is going to happen and I'm scared. Not of any weird stuff just that I won't necessarily do the right thing before she goes. Any suggestions?

Dear jcappa:

Have faith in yourself... You have been trained for this so take a deep breath and be natural and compassionate. It is important, I think, to be reassuring and supportive. Be gentle and acknowledge that it is okay for them to go - permission to let go can be very comforting. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time jcappa and be strong...

Love and Hugs from Glenda
