My mother is suffering from depression and I am at a loss of what to do for her. I have already talked to her and her doctors about it. It was reccomended that she take a mild antidepressant, which she will not do(I already take more than enough pills!).It is getting worse every day. I talked to her brother about it, and he told me that when he talked to her the other day, he picked up on it right away. It used to be that she pretty much could hide it from other family members but it is so bad now that everyone can see it. She is 87 yrs. old, and she now realizes that she needs 24 hr. care, and will never be able to take care of herself again without assistance. She lives with my husband and I, and we are extremely concerned for her. How do you all deal with a loved ones depression? Anybody had issues like this? How do you approach the subject?
