This evening will be a year since my MIL passed suddenly. She was not only our matriarch, but the pentultimate caregiver. It's been a tough year. I'm glad for her that she will not have to endure the tough economic times ahead, or the slow decline of her husband (he had a stroke last month), or a long lingering illness herself. When I go visit my own mother at the nursing home, I reflect on how unhappy my MIL would have been to be in the same situation.
So, it is as I often say, even though we are saddened by our own loss, things happen for the greatest good in the long run.
I love you, Bonnie.
