During Mom's recent hospital visit she said a few things I thought ya'll might like:
1. Right after the ER folks got her stable, her dr asked her how she felt. She said "I've had better days."
2. I had been promising her a ride in the country for her birthday. In the ER she said, "I thought I was going for my ride in the country, but it didn't turn out that way."
3. Her mother was a shameless flirt, even into her 80's. I was very amused watching Mom with her male nurse, Bob (who is middle aged). She kept staring at him and smiling. When he was out of the room, I asked her about it. She said, "he has nice dimples."
When Bob returned, I detected a non-Southern accent, so I asked him about it. He said he's from Rhode Island. I told him Mom is also originally from New England. So he asked her where she was from. She said, "Boston." He said, "Oh really, when did you live there.?" She said, "I shouldn't say or I'll give away my age."
I had a good chuckle. There was Bob holding a paper with her birthdate and age right there.
Her mother would be proud. LOL!
